The World Health Organization (WHO) is a specialized agency of the United Nations responsible for international public health. It was established on April 7, 1948, and is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. The WHO operates as a coordinating authority on international health issues and works to provide leadership on global health matters, shape health policy, and set international standards. This committee will run under traditional Model UN procedure where draft resolutions are created, presented, and voted. Delegates will be tasked with addressing pandemic prevention, and medical access in areas of conflict.
